More Success in China

Clyde Pumps incorporating Weir Pumps Glasgow this week signed a memorandum of understanding with CNPEC (China Nuclear Power Engineering co.) worth approximately £20 million for the supply of critical safety related pumps for the Hongyanhe (Units 1&2) and Ningde 1000 megawatt nuclear power plants currently under construction. These pumps will be delivered progressively through 2009 and 2010.

In addition to the above , an option was agreed to supply further units for the Hongyanhe Units 3 & 4 with an approximate value of £10 million which may be taken up before December 2007.

This is yet another critical success for Clyde and builds on the very strong foundations that the business has built in the Chinese nuclear market.
