Job Description:  
The following position is responsible to provide customer service support for Aftermarket part's requirements. The successful candidate will report to the North American part's leader and the Burlington service centre manager.
 
Requirements / Responsibilities:  

Job Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Process all spare parts inquiries from Canadian and International customers.
  • Prepare parts quotations.
  • Ensure communication maintained with both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain quote log as required.
  • Process spare parts customer orders.
  • Work closely with Area Sales Managers to assure all aspects of aftermarket parts issues are addressed.
  • As part of Aftermarket team, ensure Aftermarket Bookings targets are met or exceeded.

 

Job Requirement/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Proven sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Able to work in fast paced, multi-task environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills in working with all MS software required.
  • Punctual, well disciplined and organized.
  • Good interpersonal skills and proven team player.
  • Prior Pump industry background a plus at either the manufacturing or sales level.

Job Title:Field Services Technician

Job Description:  
Responsible for various technical field assignments involving installation, start-up, repair, training, trouble shooting of ClydeUnion Pumps and competitor products in warranty and non-warranty situations.
 
Requirements / Responsibilities:  

Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities

  • Assists customers in the installation, start-up, repair, training, trouble shooting and maintenance of rotating equipment.
  • Represents companies in cases of warranty claims.
  • Supervises customer-supplied personnel or performs actual work required to satisfy situation.
  • Assists in generating requests for service, field service reports, work activity log, and invoices for service work.
  • Assists in reviewing and updating information in all Pump Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Upon completion of field activity produce and submit for review in a timely manner:


- Technical report of findings and activity
- Signed customer time sheets
- Expense report summary

  • Provides assistance, as required, with disposition of Field Trouble Reports.
  • Provide customer training in both informal and formal presentation.
  • Travel nationally and internationally at short notice.

Job Requirements / Knowledge and Experience

  

  • Specific knowledge of installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and nuclear rotating equipment (to current industry standards and practices) as would normally be acquired through completion of an associates degree in engineering or related technical field and five years minimum experience in the manufacture or maintenance of pumping systems / rotating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of API 610 / 674 / 682.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and experience with both reciprocating and multistage centrifugal pumps.
  • Turbine / Motor and Gearbox experience would be an asset.
  • Analytical ability necessary to inspect and trouble shoot problems in the field.
  • Must be available for assignments both domestic and foreign, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Up to 80% overnight travel required.
  • Interpersonal skills including good verbal, written, and physical (hands on), necessary to interact effectively with customers, maintenance personnel, engineers, accounting and co-workers.
  • Computer literate user, MS outlook, MS word, MS excel.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision with ability to multitask.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Pump testing knowledge / experience preferable.
  • Exposure to vibration measurement and analysis preferable.

Job Title:Application Engineer 
Location:Calgary, Alberta

Job Description:  
Inside technical sales position with primary responsibility to support the local Area Sales Managers and submit to customers prepared product proposals. Additional actions include interpreting customer specifications, negotiating orders, order follow-up and occasional customer visits.  The primary market for ClydeUnion Pumps products is Oil & Gas with secondary markets in Power, Desalination, Nuclear and Steel. This individual will work closely with the area sales managers, the customers and the manufacturing facilities to provide a high level of service to meet the customer’s needs and expectations.
 
Requirements / Responsibilities:  

Job Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of proposals following company guidelines to include specification review, obtaining sub vendor quotations, and interpretation of customer’s specifications.
  • Attending negotiation meetings with area sales managers, order entry initiation and production schedule review.
  • Updating and maintaining global quote log and regular reports.
  • Contact with customer regarding questions via phone and written correspondence.
  • Provide additional customer service beyond that provided by areas sales managers.

  

Job Requirement/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skill; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications.  Experience with API-610 specifications an asset.
  • Good PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and computer system adaptability.
  • Self motivated and the ability to excel with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor degree with technical experience is preferred.
  • BS degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Industrial Distribution or other technical degree is preferred.
